Who the hell are Brentford! I’ve never even heard of them until I checked the fixtures list a couple of days ago, and they think that they can just stroll up to the second city, strut right into Villa Park and beat the mighty Aston Villa!!! Just because we lost to Bristol a few weeks ago, don’t think for one moment that you can emulate a great team like that!
I mean, where the actual hell is Brentford? Is it up north somewhere near Manchester? I think it’s a Hamlet or a Village isn’t it, like in the kids program Camberwick Green! Isn’t there a little delicatessen named ‘Up tut Road’ that sells mince meat and gravy with a pie crust on top?
Nothing pretty much happens around Brentford, I guess they might have the odd fire drill, and what about the panic when there’s no breeze to turn the windmill to make flour for their daily bread. Didn’t they build a housing estate on the only place that had a nightlife, the docks? Maybe you should go back to rowing!
Look, I’m just joking, I know where Brentford is really, but I really can’t have you beating or drawing with us tonight, ok! I mean I just can’t have it! Look at the bad luck we’re having, we’ve created the most chances, the most shots on target, we’ve hit the woodwork more times this season than any other club in the entire world, and we only have six flipping points!!!
So, if you even dare to dream of getting a draw or God forbid a win tonight, then I hope your drive back down to Cornwall is a long one! UTV
Ok ill bite then.
Thats right underestimate us. We like clubs that think they are TBTF. Bolton, Blackburn, Leeds, Forest, to name a few, all thought they were big until they learned otherwise. 1 win from 7 says you are beginning to see the reality of Championship football & success has less to do with your perceived size than guts & ability. 2 things Villa massively lacked last year.
In parting I would say: Just ask Bournemouth if they think their size got them promoted :). See you boys tonight & see if you are anything to be concerned about or another club circling the drain & struggling to come to terms with that realisation.
Brentford are the team that passed us off our own turf on weds night Glen. fair play to them. RDM had no answer, stood there like a rabbit in headlights
