Tomorrow night’s game is arguably Villa’s biggest game of the season, and to be honest, I’ve been feeling the pressure of this game since we lost to Manchester United on Saturday. With our current position in the league, the pressure is taking its toll on Villa fans with every result that goes against us. I’ve had friends calling me daily trying to work out where it’s all gone wrong and how we can put it right. Villans are very desperate at the moment, and they hope they can find the answers they’re looking for in other people’s views.
Queens Park Rangers are on the back of a great win against the Baggies, and they’ll be hoping to drag us further into the mire of the relegation battle that we’re already in. The psychological damage of a loss could be devastating for Aston Villa, and I fear we might hear reports of Villans topping themselves if we lose to QPR tomorrow night as the pressure will just be unbearable for them to endure. Just in case you feel like you can’t continue, please call the Samaritans on this number: 0203-476-2993, they’ll make you feel better hopefully. But seriously, a win tomorrow night will go along way to easing the pressure we are all experiencing.
The last time QPR won at Villa Park was in 2008, some of our best performances I’ve witnessed over the recent years have come against this West London club. I don’t know why we seem to play well and beat certain teams more often than not, and then always continuously lose and look uninterested against others, like Manchester United!!! But hopefully Villa Park will be close to a sell out; Tim Sherwood has asked for the Villa faithful to pack Villa Park and recreate the atmosphere that we generated when we played the Baggies, minus the pitch invasion if we win, and I think we should answer his call.
