People’s views on yesterdays result and performance all depends on which side of the fence you’re on, me, I’m on the side that says we’re already relegated. If you’re on the other side that says we still have a chance of staying up, then a draw might not have been good enough for you, having said that, at the end of ninety yesterday, the Villa faithful didn’t seem to unhappy with the result.
For me, and many of the other fans that are on my side of the fence regarding our Premiership status for next season, then you might have been a little disappointed with the first half performance, but a whole lot happier with the second half display.
If this match had taken place only three or four games ago without the changes to the starting line-up, I believe we wouldn’t have recovered after going a goal down. Current Bunn for Guzan was one of a few positive moves from Garde; if only he was in-goal when we played away at Crystal Palace and other games, maybe we could have had more points to our name.
Kozak finally getting his chance, and no place for Richards in the defence when he could have been selected is a real positive reward to the players that got us a win and a draw, so no changes to the starting line-up when we play WBA Saturday. I don’t want to see anything less than 100% from the lads for the remainder of this season, win lose or draw, you won’t here me complain if I see that you’re trying.
The only negative I can take from yesterdays match, was the late substitution Sinclair for Ayew. I’m sure most people would know why you wouldn’t make a change with only sixty seconds to go (especially the fans who on the opposite side of the fence to me), it was a stupid decision! So Rémi my son, don’t do that again!!! It was completely pointless, you plonker!!! UTV
