Don’t let anyone tell you that losing is ok to gain fitness, it isn’t in my opinion. Just think about this for a moment; losing, lose, loss, loser, not very nice, is it?
There is something you can take out of losing though! Try and see where you went wrong, do something about it, learn from your mistakes and put it right! Well, we made quite a few mistakes last season, especially at home, didn’t we? Some of us Villans take losing hard, whether it be a competitive or friendly match.
Lambert insists he’s not overly concerned about the loss, going down 4-1 to FC Groningen, He said: “The result wasn’t the most important thing. It’s about getting the fitness levels.” Well we must have been extremely unfit last season then!
Look, I’m just not going to buy this, it’s just a friendly and it doesn’t mean anything? It means something to me; I just don’t like my Villa to lose at anything at whatever time! I want Villa to win all the time!!! And if any of you out there think differently, then that’s up to bloody you! UTV
Do you still?! I used to head towards every game expecting us to win, wanting us to win and disappointed if we failed. But after the last few years, I just don’t have it in me anymore. Yes I love the club, yes they are my team, no I won’t support anyone else but avoiding a defeat is the limit of my expectations.
And the worst bit? The worst bit is that I have gone past the anger, gone past the desperation, gone past the humiliation and disappointment. Now I’m just numb
Totally agree. I’m sure lambert didn’t want to lose either especially 4-1. The good sides always win whether it’s a friendly or not.
I’m worried about our defence again & our lack of creativity.
Gabby hasn’t scored in any of the frienslies which is also a concern.
God help villa next season
It means something to me too.
So villa need to get their fitness up, so they lose against Groningen and Chesterfield , but Man U beat Real Madrid liverpool beat man city in good quality games.
We should be going out and beating these teams to get that winning mentality
Feel really sorry for you guys at the present. But things will get better you’re too big a club to stay down. Look what we’ve been through in the past 20 years (Man City) Chin up lads. Stick with Villa. Once a fan always a fan!!! Good luck.
