Aston Villa vs West Ham United
I don’t know about you, but West Ham trying to over turn a red card that Andy Carroll got for flicking Chico Flores ponytail, really got up my nose. Carroll got a red card, which carried a three match ban. West Ham appealed it, and lost. Then, I think I’m right in saying, an arbitration made up of a three people from West Ham, Swansea and get this, the third person to sit a make a judgment had to be agreed by the first two, Crazy!
Well all day I had it in my mind that they were going to rule in favour of Carroll. I could see it all in my mind. We’re playing The Hammers at Villa Park tomorrow and carroll scores the winning goal that Helps their relegation battle and puts us right in it.
So when the news came through on the wires, that Carroll was unsuccessful in his umpteenth appeal, I actually let out a cheer. I’m not defending Chico Flores, the man is a cheat but so are many other footballers in The Premiership. Can you imagine if he would have been successful, you would have football clubs appealing the appeal of the original appeal every week. Some of you are probably saying, “you wouldn’t be saying that if was Benteke appealing”. I would be saying it, in fact I think I would be embarrassed about it and further more, I don’t think Aston Villa football club would have considered an appeal if it was one of their own. Truth be know, it never should have gotten this far.
Now Lets Rub It In!!!
So now its time to make them pay. Nothing would give me greater pleasure than to rub their noses in it. Hopefully I won’t be eating my own words tomorrow, but now is a good time to play The Hammers. And even though we had a blip last week, I believe their is still enough confidence in our side (from our draw against Liverpool and win against WBA) to beat The Hammers and really Rub Their Noses In It.
