Aston Villa avoided relegation this season with some of the worst football played by Villa in decades. You could almost hear a collective sigh of relief from the Villa faithful when the final whistle sounded at White Hart Lane, even though it looked like we were having a party. Well, you’ve got to be mad to support Villa.
One subject I would like to avoid at the moment is, “which players should we go for”. I don’t think now is the time for Villa fans to be talking about which players we can get through the Aston Villa door. I think we should be more worried about which players we could lose, until the club gets sold!
Think about it for one moment, what if Aston Villa doesn’t get a buyer for the club? We could lose our best players! Fabian Delph, Andreas Weimann, Marc Albrighton, Ron Vlaar and just because he’s injured at the moment, Benteke will be putting in a transfer request like a rat up a drainpipe!
I really worry about Ron Vlaar at the world cup, don’t get me wrong, I want him to have a good one, but look who manages the Dutch squad, that’s right, the next manager of Manchester United. Could there be something in that, Vlaar to United? Well, they’re going to need a couple of new centre half’s with the departures of Rio Ferdinand and Nemanja Vidić.
Look, we’ve had an awful season but the reality is, “The nightmare continues “ until we get bought! No players in, some players out of contract, the player gets worried, the player is gone! God forbid that Aston Villa doesn’t get bought, because if we don’t and our best players leave, then we’re going to be one of the favourites to go down next season. UTV
Leave A Comment If You Will.
Looks like your prediction could come true! Damn you Lambert!!! You should never have let the contracts of these players go down to one year!!! It’s one cock up after another.
I know your frustration mate, which is why I wrote the article.
Hopefully we can get them signed up within the next week or two; already it’s reported that West Ham are going to put a bid in for Delph.
Just hope that Vlaar signs a new deal but his brilliant World Cup performances I belive are going to attract attention.
We’ve already lost Albrighton, let’s hope we don’t lose anymore. UTV
