Just a little post today as I’m still feeling like death warmed up. Watching the Villa from my sick bed yesterday, I felt that once the match finished, we actually deserved a point if not all 3, based on the chances we created. After Gabby was sent off, I thought we played even better than what we did when we had 11 men on the pitch. So playing against 12 men and Villa down to 10 with 25 minutes to go in the second half, would be hard for any team, especially with United’s newest superstar, Lee Mason.
And did you see that wonderful move by the new United player (Mason) when the ball was there to be won! His hand went into his pocket, and that red card came out like no ones business! The pompous git didn’t take any time to think about the situation and who was rolling on the floor like he’d been shot. I don’t think Young was hurt, in-fact, I thought he fouled Gabby and deserved a booking.
Bearing in mind everything Villa was up against, I think we should be content with the point we got yesterday. But I’m not going to accept that United was the best team and they dropped 2 points, hogwash!!! Think yourselves lucky Manchester United, it could have been far worse for you yesterday if we’d put our other chances away. UTV
FIRST 20 MINS SECOND HALF UNITED WERE DANGEROUS AND THAT WAS ABOUT IT, WE JUST SAT BACK, DREW THEM IN AND COUNTERED
AND IT WAS PRETTY GOOD,,,, LOTS OF POSITIVE PERFORMANCES AND CREDIT TO LAMBERT,,,, AND ALL WITH 8 FIRST TEAMERS OUT
BUT WE STILL NEED TO GET MORE GOALS AND HAVE MORE POSSESSION AT HOME AGAINST THE LESSER SIDES
BODES WELL FOR NEXT YEAR
Thought we were the better team Glen. Who knows what would have happened if we had Hutton and Westwood. Lowton got skinned for Utd’s equalizer. That’s about all they did to be fair. One complaint. Why put four policemen to stand right in front of us in the North Stand lower and severley restrict our view. Not happy about that one.
