Firstly, the laws of probability say we’re due a win against Newcastle. I haven’t got the stats to hand but it seems like a long time since we’ve beaten them, we need to put that right tomorrow and I believe we will.
Aston Villa is still riding high on the back of last Saturday’s great victory against Stoke, along with the new signing of Carlos Sanchez whom I’m informed is a very good player, the positivity continues with the Villa faithful and that can’t do us any harm in the win I believe we will get.
Even though I don’t want to criticise any part of last week’s winning team, I think the central midfield is where we were weakest. I know I’ve said in the past that you should never change a winning side, unless injury or form says you should but I would drop Westwood for Sanchez, we need to get this player up and running if he’s as good as my friend says, he could have a big part in a home win for us.
I’m really looking forward to this match tomorrow and even though we won our first game last season, if only we could have followed it up with a draw if not a win against Chelsea, maybe we might not have had such a bad season but who knows. So, Come On Villa!!! Let’s follow last weeks win with another. UTV
The 17th Minute Tribute
There will be a tribute on the 17th minute in the form of clapping for 1 minute for the two Newcastle fans Liam Sweeney and John Alder who were killed on flight MH17. RIP
I’m a Newcastle fan and with all due respect to your historic club we have a much better team. Our new signings are generally unknown to the rest of the premier league and that element of surprise will work in our favour I think early in the season. If Siem De Jong plays I expect him to boss the game and Remy Cabella can frighten any defence in the league. However we will see
I’m also a newcastle fan and I know 9/10 a good midfield tends to be the difference in a game, look at Chelsea last season, yes they had a great defence but most of their goals came from midfield. And I know newcastle will get many goals from midfield, from De Jong, Cabella, Sissoko, etc… And our defence midfield area is strong too, you are lucky to not have Tiote in our midfield tomorrow or it really would be a tough game for you’s. But Colback and Anita stopped a lot of city’s attacks which were slow but accurate and amazing to watch at times. I know you love to counter attack with wienman (sorry about the spelling) who is a player I respect, but our midfield should slow if not stop the counter attacks before our poor defence has to act. We troubled city last weekend (I was there so I saw all 90 mins and all of the action) but our finishing let us down, Rivieré will trouble you, he troubled the strong city midfield and defence but in my eyes panicked so to come up against a less world class defence which does include Vlaar who done very well in the World Cup and that new signing you have (forgot his name) will mean that he should feel more at home even tho he is at a place like villa park which isn’t a nice place to go to if your a player but a nice stadium when it comes to the fans. As a prediction I believe 3-1 to the Toon but it won’t be easy believe me, but if you get the first goal I predict 2-1 or 2-0 to the Villains. And great respect to the editor for including the 17th min clapping for our two great supporters!
<<<<<<<<<< Thinks ya have a giggle if you think yous ganna win lol
