I know this is a Villa blog, but this is something I had to write, I sincerely hope that you, the Leicester City fans win the Premiership! Us Villa fans haven’t had much to cheer about this season, well, for many years really, and it looks as if we’re going to be relegated, something I actually predicted for your club around about this time last year.
A Leicester fan came right back at me on social media and said that the season wasn’t over yet, and that nobody should count them out due to the positive way in which they were playing their football, even though at that time they were losing matches.
I was the first one to congratulate that fan when it was apparent you were going to be safe, he acknowledge me by liking my tweet. And look at you guys now, I can’t tell you how much I’ve been captivated by your wonderful story, and I hope it ends well.
With the foundations being laid by Nigel Pearson and wonderfully continued by Claudio Ranieri, talking to Villa fans during and after your win yesterday away to Manchester City, there was nothing but praise and admiration at the way you’ve gone about playing your football.
If there is a fan out there who’s club hasn’t got a realistic chance of winning the Premiership and doesn’t want you to win, Then They Don’t Believe in Dreams, and maybe they have a bitter and twisted heart, I pity them.
The pundits for many years said it could never be done outside the spending power of the clubs who have it all, well I hope they’re proved wrong. I think this could be the biggest achievement in English football, even surpassing the great Brian Clough’s Nottingham Forest title win way back when, if you can pull it off.
I want you to know that there are many fans out there from different clubs who are all behind you! Also, thank you for taking my mind of the troubles in which my own club Aston Villa find themselves deeply in, it’s been a pleasant distraction.
So keep up the good work, and I do sincerely hope that you and your Club can realise that dream that many of us fans most definitely hold. Up The Foxes and always, UTV
Here here, what a truly marvellous achievement Leicester have made so far. I echo these sentiments and hope they win the Premiership and gain the plaudits that is possible.
Good lad!! I hope you get pearson to get you on the right track!!!
Let’s hope it gives inspiration to all Midlands clubs, it’s nice to see
Leicester silencing all the pundits who grovel to their mega money
Clubs. What ever happens to Avfc,Leicester prove that with total commitment
And the right players you can rip up the status quo. When you have decent players they shine through the bad. Avfc have very few quality players who
Will show that type of energy.or flair.
I agree completely, I wish them all the best of luck. I still cant stand Lineker though.
Think it’s amazing when we as Villa fans complain about the lack of investment in our club and here’s Leicester City already achieving the unimaginable on minimal spending power, I sincerely hope that Leicester go on to be crowned Premier League Champions as it will show us all that football should not always be about money and clubs with the biggest financial clout buying success. How important it is to have the powers that be behind the scenes at a club making sure that the club is run properly as a business heads in the right direction makes the right decisions in appointments and signings and whilst this is all wrong at my club Leicester appear to have things right, many congratulations LCFC no matter what happens the rest of the season you have give us all some cheer!
Well maybe your club is on its way to relegation because your fans are more concerned about Leicester winning the league, well done Leicester and all that but shouldn’t you be more concerned about your own clubs situation instead of going to the effort of writing an article about another teams successes, shameful really is I hope nobody wins the league apart from my team and I hope everyone gets relegated apart from my team, maybe write an article to get your stadium full really can’t believe this how pathetic.
Agree come on you foxes from a villa season ticket holder living in.Leicester that had a bit of stick but most of all lets get behind the villa boys Sunday and give a good atmosphere and do our bit like normal my heart says yes but we must look at our players not good in a team with no confidence idoits above them running the club and remi g left in the middle doing his best and probably think why did i say yes to this job i do feel for the bloke he keeps his cool speaks calm and i hope he is backed and we get to see his side one day
