We’re 5 games into the season and sat 3rd with 10 points. It’s been a mixed bag in terms of results and performances, from the great win at Anfield to the mad 3 minutes that cost us against Arsenal. With a lot more experience added to the team over the summer we’ve looked more solid in games where we would have conceded late goals last season. With Benteke and Kozak nearing fitness we can also hope for more chances and goals. My only concern is our inability to keep the ball at times and our over reliance on counter attacking football. If we are to progress and become a top team again we need to adapt our style of play and have a plan B.
With tough games against Chelsea, Man City and Everton coming up, I hope our new found solidity and ability to hit teams on the break will add points to our already impressive tally but we must find a way to break teams down and score and create more goals if we want to progress into a top team again.

Lucy, I am with you there. We did seem to have a new found solidity @ the back only for it to be comprehensively undone by Arsenal on Saturday.
For the first half hour I was quite happy with the way that we were performing, but within 5 minutes, we were over ran, & were looking really panic struck. I am sure this is something that will get discussed over the week leading up to Chelsea. My real worry is that, having seen how we were so easily pulled all over the place, the quality teams, like your Chelsea’s, Man City, & Spurs will be able to do the same, if not more damage.
All being fair in love & war, if someone had offered us 10 points @ this stage, I would have snapped their hand off.
Hi Terry, I was wondering if you could contact me via my contact form on my website as I would like to ask you something. If you could leave me an e-mail address or even give me your twitter angle so I can DM you, it would be appreciated. Don’t worry mate it’s nothing serious. Glenn
