What a week it’s been for Aston Villa. Paul Lambert was shown the door, and Tom Fox wasted no time in appointing Tim Sherwood as the new manager. The only thing that worried me slightly about the appointment of Sherwood, was his lack of managerial experience, but the more I’ve listened to him talk, the more I was thinking that he is the right man for this tricky job.
Villa is still in a precarious situation here, and with 13 matches to go, it’s vitally important that we pick up wins and put the other clubs in and around us under pressure. Playing Stoke has been an up and down affair for Villa over the years, but I think the Sherwood factor along with fan power, and a list that’s a mile long of Stoke injuries, it should/could go in our favour.
Every Villa fan out there is on cloud nine currently, and with every comment and decision that Tim Sherwood is making at the moment, it’s like a breath of positive fresh air to the Villa fans, and God only knows how we needed that. But just when you think things couldn’t get any better, Sherwood only goes and appoints Kevin MacDonald as his new assistant manager, what a masterstroke Tim! And welcome home Kevin, it’s good to have you back.
But one little note of caution, and I really hate having to say it, but you know how the story goes sometimes, don’t you. With all this good positivity that’s surrounding our club at the moment, it would just be typical of Aston Villa that the result will be the ultimate party pooper. I really hope this cautionary note doesn’t materialise, as I’m really encouraged about our chances of very good result tomorrow.
But no matter what happens tomorrow, at this moment in time, I’m an optimistic and positive Villa fan, and I can’t wait for the match to start tomorrow!!! So, Come On Villa, Lets Do This!!! UTV
Keep the faith brother, We shall smite them hip and thigh.
You get sent off for that these days.
Villa park will be rocking and a rolling baby!!!!!!
