Attack Attack Attack
Aston Villa has tried to play a counter attacking style of football all season, which has meant we’ve had to concede the bulk of possession to the opposing football teams. If played right, this style of football can be effective, but in our case, we’ve been mostly awful. We’ve played 37 games so far and won only 10, drawn 8 and lost a massive 19, horrifying isn’t it!
Of those 10 wins only a handful were of any quality. We have to admit that Aston Villa has been a very poor side most of this season. Playing this style of football with the players that we’ve got, a lack of investment, poor management and coaching hasn’t helped either.
Our last match of the season is against Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday and the Spurs fans will expect a good attacking performance and a win for their side. The Villa fans however, won’t know what they’re going to get until the match starts, but you’d most likely bet on a loss and bad performance.
If Lambert has got anything about himself, he will ditch the defensive tactics and tell his players to attack at every opportunity. What have we got to lose, “nothing” I’d say. The Villa faithful want to be entertained and if we win, “great” and if we lose, I don’t think it’s going to make any difference to Lambert’s future at the Villa. UTV
