Current form for me is what I go by when predicting the outcome of a match, and with two consecutive losses against Arsenal and Chelsea, I can see us getting beat by Manchester City. For thirty or so minutes against Arsenal we held our own with good football and goal chances, then we conceded three goals in three minutes and from then on, it was nothing but defence from the Villa.
If City scores first, I think it could be all over from that point onwards for the Villa; it doesn’t please me to say this but this is what the evidence suggests. If by some miracle we were to get something out of this match, we would then have to try to attack a little more than what we are comfortable with.
Once we’ve got this game out of the way, Villa will have a run of matches against teams that I expect to compete with, beginning with Everton away; but for now we can only hope to get some sort of result against one of the ‘Enemies Of Football’, Manchester City. UTV
