Absolutely buzzing from Villa’s 3-0 demolition of Brighton tonight. We travelled down to the south coast knowing that a win would propel us up the Premier League table. We rolled up our sleeves, knuckled down, and finished the game with three points.
It started with Rashford’s ice-cold finish on the break, right after a Brighton corner. Classic Villa – we soaked up the pressure, then stung them on the counter. The lads were rock-solid at the back, and when Brighton thought they’d snuck one in, the ref waved it off for handball after consulting with VAR. The Villa faithful erupted!
But the real fireworks came late. Marco Asensio capitalised on a fantastic cross from Moran Rogers to slot home the second for Villa, pure class. Then, in stoppage time, Donyell Malen top it off with a very well-taken goal, teed up by Asensio. 3-0, game over, and the Brighton fans could wait to get home.
This win hoists us above Brighton in the table. They’re no pushovers, but tonight we showed our quality and desire to win. European spots are there on the horizon, and Unai Emery’s got us firing on all cylinders. UTV
