Emotions are running very high if you’re a Villa fan at the moment. With only one win in the league this season, Villa fans were hoping to get some respite with a win in the FA Cup today; all they could muster up was a very disappointing draw against Wycombe Wanderers who are currently in Sky Bet league 2.
I for-one don’t agree with the vile abuse some of the players got today, I think fans could make their feelings known without the abuse, but you might be at the end of the line with it all, so what do you think?

I really don’t think the fans should be getting at the players this way. Their anger should be directed at the clowns running the club. In the past the stewards have been quick to rip down the banners criticising Lerner, Fox and co. If every fan directed their anger at these on hopers that would be justified. Lets make Lerner know we never want to see him in Aston ever again and lets make Fox , Riley and co understand they are solely accountable for the state we are in and its all down to their continued brainless decisions.
The players should take some criticism but not this vile abuse by he Brittish brain donor society. You can argue about the passion and that’s valid, but the simple truth of the matter is they are not good enough, with the exception of 1 or 2. Blame the people wh brought them to the club, These people have no clue about football at any level never mind the premier league, if you buy a reliant robin don’t expect a Porsche . Get these twats out of our club an install some football minded people at the top. We need to replace 8 or 9 of these players for premier quality players, but we know that won’t happen with Learner in charge, so I’m afraid to say it….but that’s , that, we’ve had it for God know how many years.
The best way to protest is, don’t abuse them…..JUST DONT GO.
I am 61 years of age and had a season ticket for 50 years…this is the worst I have ever seen.
As an original Steamer we would have knocked the abusive guys out and gone to the nearest pub. They should be outed and banned thay are an embarrassment to the claret and blue.
Was at the game today with my 2 young sons as we normally always are. Today was a really low point for the club with the unacceptable verbal abuse towards the players. They don’t deserve to be treated this way and we will not be able to bring in new players if this continues. Who would want to come to the Villa knowing they will get treated in this manner if things don’t work out. Take it out on the hierarchy not the players, such a sad day for our football club. We just wanted to get away from Wycombe and the disgraceful behaviour from a number of so called ‘supporters’.
Garde has been quoted as saying the criticism of the players is justified .yes it is but not like this .it should be done behind closed doors and kept between the players and the manager .
Our supporters travel far and wide in support of this great club and twice in as many games our supporters have been nothing but vile towards the players and manager , I’m not going to slag these supporters off if anything I’m going to say this ,
this clubs reputation is in tatters and that is partly our fault we turn on our own far to easily and we turn on each other just as quickly,it’s Time to rebuild this clubs reputation from the outside in its up to us the supporter no matter how badly it gets to keep on giving our all for this club home and away because unless we change things on the pitch won’t change .
A lot of the players brought to the club this year are below what we expect but we have to remember they jumped at the chance to come this club and play in the prem under false pretences by paddy Reilly and the director of football . These players need our support we need to keep incouraging no matter how bad it gets .we need to stop turning on our own and each other , no new players will want to come to our club after what they see broadcast around the world coming out of our club . Ultimately we could be adding to the demise of our own club and how sad would that be .

I don,t like the abuse the fans give the villa players but the players have take some of the flak for the poor play and the way they to roll over instead of showing the fight and effort the fan expect to see put the person who should take most the blame is Lerner for the way he has destroyed the club I have supported for forty years with is shocking decisions in the people he as appointed as managers and people in other position who clearly are not up to the job ie people who are know good at the job
