So, Gary Gardner gets a two-year contract with the Villa and Marc Albrighton gets zip! I really can’t work this one out. Gary Gardner has only played for the Villa first team 18 times, yes, he’s had a good career progressing through the youth set up, but truth be known, he’s still unproven in the Premiership.
However, Albrighton has been one of our best players this season and he gets kicked out!!! It seems that the Villa faithful are divided about the level of Albrighton’s football capabilities, some say he’s no better than a good championship player, well, if that’s the case it doesn’t say much about the majority of our first team players at Villa.
God only knows who is making these decisions down the Villa at the moment? “Paul Lambert,” I hear some of you say! Well if that’s the case, why doesn’t he get some of our other players signed up like Fabian Delph, who has only got one year left on his contract?
I feel pretty bad for Albrighton, because like Gary Gardner he came through the youth system, but, unlike Gardner, he didn’t get a new contract. So, “Good Luck Marc,” I’m sure under a new manager, you might develop into a very good player. UTV
Money simple , hence the reason no new surely deals for Delph etc.
Gardner is still on a low wage
