OK, the word on the street is, we’ve only got £10 million to spend on transfer fees and wages. Is this revelation a real surprise? For me, it just reinforces where Aston Villa is as a Football club, in a state of limbo!
Do we believe everything that is written in the newspapers? When it concerns Aston Villa, you can’t! But I do believe that some people do know some things about the Villa, but not everything!
As far as the latest article published in The Mirror, take from it what you will. For me, I wouldn’t give Paul Lambert a tenner to spend let alone £10 million! He might be a very nice man outside of football, but he’s just not for me, as I’ve stated in past posts on my website.
The Mirror article at first glance, might come across negatively for some people, but for me, it could have been a lot worse if it had been stated that Lambert had been given £30 million to spend. Let me make one thing clear, I will always support Aston Villa when it comes to match days, no matter who’s in the dugout!
Until a buyer is found for Aston Villa, we can’t truly move forward, we’re just going to have to deal with the current situation the best way each one of us can. UTV
Your title “£10m for lucky Lambert” is spot on. Its £10m more than most people would give him. I suppose we will get another Tonev, Sylla, Hellenius etc.
Who would have ever thought that Hull and Leicester would have had more financial clout than Villa. To all those suggesting Ellis could come back just remember it was Ellis who sold to these clowns in the first place.
I don’t belive anything about Villa until I’ve seen it on AV’s official website.
It would not matter who villa where to appoint as a manager, and who ever buys Villa , there are some supporters who constantly moan! about what ever at the club and they are the reason we will never move forward. I bet the villa blogger was anti D Ellis
Sorry to say Dave I’ve never been anti D Ellis, in fact I hold that man in very high esteem but that doesn’t mean I agreed with everything he ever done. As far as Lambert is concerned, I’ve based my opinions on his 2 years at the Villa & every aspect of what has happened hear under his reign. I just didn’t wake up one morning a think to myself ‘Lambert isn’t for me’. As long as Lambert is here I will base my opinions on what happens under him if does a good job I’ll say so & I’ll always support my club on match day. Just one thing, If Deadly Dug was still in charge of the Villa, do you think Lambert would still be here? I think we both know the answer that. UTV
here we go again i think lamberts done fine considering what he’s had to put up with
Got to agree with you dave we would all love morinho at villa park with money to spend but the reality is PL was brought in to cut the wage bill get rid of over paid mistakes Martin Neil bought and to reduce debt by buying cheap on next to nothing wages , I seriously doubt morinho could of done much better with those restrictions ,the problems down villa park are in the boardroom
